Last updated on Sep 09, 2025

The LunaNotes rich text editor allows you to format your notes and make them clearer, more organized, and easier to study. Here’s how to use it:

  1. Open a note

Start a new note from the extension while watching a video, or open an existing note in the LunaNotes Web App.

  2. Access the editor toolbar

At the top of the note, you’ll see the formatting toolbar.

  3. Apply text formatting

    Bold (B): Highlight text and click B or use Ctrl + B / Cmd + B.

    Italic (I): Highlight text and click I or use Ctrl + I / Cmd + I.

Underline (U): Highlight text and click U.

  4. Create lists

Bullet list: Click the bullet list icon to create points.

Numbered list: Click the numbered list icon to create ordered steps.

  5. Add links

Highlight text, click the link icon, and paste a URL.

This is useful to reference external resources.

  6. Highlight or add headings

Use the highlight or heading options to organize your content into sections.

  7. Save automatically

All formatting and changes are saved automatically in the cloud.

🎉 Tip: Combine formatting (like bold + lists) to create structured study notes that are easier to review later
